Core Banking System ConnectorsCore Banking System Connectors
The recent decade had a significant impact on standardization of integration technologies. On top of now ubiquitous XML notation, many new standards emerged, including Web Services/SOAP, J2EE Connector Architecture (JCA), banking-specific IFX and OFX protocols, among others. For several highly popular ERP applications (SAP, Oracle, etc.), many of those integration standards and protocols have actually gone beyond the specs, and standards-based connectors have become available off-the-shelf.
Although the proliferation of these connectors was very good news for many organizations, unfortunately it was not so beneficial to banks. Unlike many other industries, banks rarely use traditional ERP systems, and no standards-based connectors or adapters had yet been offered on the market for the core banking systems and other banking-specific applications that banks have at the center of their processes.
Now Avantek makes the benefits of standards-based integration available to the banking community by offering connectors to popular core banking systems and applications. The connectors allow banks to use Web Services/SOAP/XML, JCA and IFX technologies to interface their core systems, obviating the need to develop the routine integration-related logic by hand. Avantek also offers a service to build custom connectors to both commercial and homegrown systems in a time- and cost-efficient way. Please contact us to inquire on integration connector availability for your system(s).
